EMT Jesus Anthony’s Settlement Interview

Transcript
My name is Jesus Anthony Quintillancian Jr. It’s a long name since I was born in the Philippines. I’m 53 years old, and I have two sons, ages 22 and 20. Right now, I’m an emergency medical technician working for Royalty Ambulance.
I decided to be an EMT because it’s really part of a process that I’m going through right now. I am proud that I’m a first responder because I really like helping people. If there’s one thing that we do, it’s exactly that: we help people.
The day of the accident was January 18, 2019. I was waiting at a red light for it to turn green. Then, out of the blue, I felt the crash from the rear of the car. Apparently, this person was probably not looking where she was going and crashed into my car.
Everything happened so fast. The hardships that I had to go through because of the accident made it a difficult time in my life. I wasn’t able to work. I had a neck brace, I had rehab, and I had to go through many places. It was not a very good time, when everything was questionable. I was going through a process where I had to be 100 percent physically, and I was starting to doubt that because the accident involved my neck. It was pretty tough. The future was bleak.
I decided to call Jacob because I’d seen his commercials on TV, and he comes across as very real. I’ve seen his billboards everywhere, and he was the first person I thought of calling to help me because I believed Jacob was going to be my first responder.
When I first met Jacob, I was pretty impressed. He was somebody who knew what he was doing, and I felt assured that I was in good hands straight away. He was very warm and reassuring. Even before that, his whole team took care of me. They made sure I was okay. They made sure every single bit, from finances to medical appointments, was taken care of. I felt so good that I felt bad these people were working so hard for me. It assured me that I was in good hands.
When I eventually met Jacob face-to-face, it was like a big brother coming to help me. You know how it is when you have a big brother help you. It’s that kind of feeling. He’s got your back. He’s got your six.
Jacob provided personal attention—so personal that I could text him any day, and he responded super quickly. It’s not like you wait a day or two. No, he responded right away. I think that is pretty rare for somebody like Jacob and his whole setup. It’s a huge company, and yet having somebody who can respond as quickly as he does is quite reassuring. I really loved it.
In terms of the economic side of the recovery process, I never had a problem with Jacob and his team. From the get-go, they supported me. I did not have to worry about my expenses. The team basically took care of it. Not having that kind of worry on my mind assured me and, I think, helped me recover faster.
Jacob and his team were there for me. The end result of my case was pretty good. Jacob was able to get me the highest settlement and was able to force the insurance companies to pay what they were supposed to. For that, I’ll be forever grateful. It assures me that I made the right decision to go with Jacob in this case.
When first responders need a first responder, we call Jacob.
